NOTIFICATION ON SECOND RESCHEDULING OF EXAM DATES FOR  AFFILIATED COLLEGES MAY/JUNE 2012 EXAMINATIONS

As per the original Time Table given, Anna University Theory Examinations for Affiliated Colleges, Constituent Colleges and University Departments of Anna Universities of Technology (AUTs) (May/June 2012) were to commence on 3.5.2012. But due to administrative reasons, the examinations on 3rd, 4th, 5th May 2012 were rescheduled on 28th, 29th and 30th May 2012 and the examinations on 28th, 29th and 30th May 2012 were rescheduled on 7th, 8th, and 9th June 2012.

Now all the examinations starting from 7.5.2012 are rescheduled again shifting by exactly 7 days. The detailed list is given below:

The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2012) was held in March 2012.

TANCET is an entrance exam conducted by Anna University for admission to it MBA, MCA and ME/ M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan courses. TANCET 2012 was held on March 31, 2012.

Andhra Pradesh students who are aspiring for admissions in various undergraduate and post graduate programs in various govt, private technical and non-technical colleges for the academic year 2012-2013 are hereby informed that the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Technical Education APSCHE had announced the schedules for various common entrance tests CETs for the academic year 2012-13

                      Admission to Professional Courses in Karnataka for the year 2012-13

Medical/Dental/ Ayurveda/ Homoeopathy/Unani/Naturopathy and Yoga/ Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture Courses

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmir migrants for registration for the Common Entrance Test-2012 for admission to first year Medical/Dental/ Ayurveda/ Homoeopathy/Unani/ Naturopathyand Yoga / Engineering/Technology/Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the Govt in the Professional Educational institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2012-13

A candidate must appear for the common entrance test conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority, for PCB subjects in case of admission to Medical/Dental/Ayurveda/Homoeopathy/ Unani/ Naturopathy and Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of admission to Engineering/Technology courses

For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture and they must compulsorily obtain CET-2012 brochure and submit the filled application form (visit KEA website for list of institutions conducting NATA)

Last date to appear for NATA is 19th May, 2012

The merit will be determined in accordance with the provisions of the Karnataka Selection of candidates for admission to Govt seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006 as amended from time to time

Academic eligibility

Medical/Dental Courses: The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th std or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the common entrance test

In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination and common entrance test

Ayurveda/Homoeopathy/Unani/Naturopathy and Yoga courses: The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th std or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the common entrance test

In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group in the qualifying examination

For admission to Medical/Dental/Ayurveda/Homoeopathy/Unani/Naturopathy and Yoga courses, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December, 2012

Engineering/Technology courses: The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th std or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the common entrance test

In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination

Architecture Course: The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th std or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD of mental retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia) and should compulsory appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a  minimum of 40% in it (including SC/ST/OBC)
