IBPS Clerical Common Exam 2012 Announced!!

IBPS has issued official announcement for much awaited second common written exam for clerical posts in 20 Public Sector Banks (IDBI Bank is the new entrant in the list this time).
All the bank jobs aspirants have been waiting for this news for a long time and its announced finally, but this time wit fairy different rules. The main changes are underlined below -
Online Test - This is a major change as this time IBPS will hold an online Test and OMR Sheets will no longer be used to mark the answers. Candidates will tick the right option with a mouse.
This pattern change might be unfamiliar to some people but it has some advantages over previous pattern. Firstly, it saves the time consumed in marking the bubbles and secondly, It prevents the errors and rejections caused by wrong bubbling of one's particulars as you'll be able to login to the system only entering correct particulars of yours.

Common Interviews - As a major reform, Government has introduced the concept of Common Interviews from now onwards. The candidates after passing the online written test will undergo Interviews held by IBPS and a list will be issued by IBPS having combined marks of written and Interviews and Category/State wise vacancies in all 20 participating Banks.
Candidates will choose order of preference among various banks applicable to vacancies in Their State only. They will then be called by banks for appointment depending on vacancies and merit.

Graduates Only - From now onwards, IBPS has cleared that only graduates will be able to apply for Clerical posts in banks. Last year, there was a lot of chaos around the topic. That's why it has been cleared in the beginning itself by IBPS.
