General Conditions
  1. Only Indian Nationals can apply.
  2. Before applying, the applicants should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria.
  3. All qualifications should be from an Indian University / Institute recognized by UGC / AICTE / appropriate statutory authority.
  4. Applicants appearing in the final year / semester examination should bring their identity card of the Institute / College / University at the time of appearing for Online Test and attending interview.
  5. Reservations and relaxations for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Minority/PWD (degree of disability 40% or above) applicants will be applicable as per Government of India orders.
  6. The OBC(including minority) applicants who belong to "Creamy layer" are not entitled for concession admissible to OBC category and such applicants have to indicate their category as General. The OBC (Non-creamy layer) applicants are required to submit requisite certificates in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority issued in the current year. Further, OBC (Non-creamy layer) applicants will have to give self undertaking indicating that they belong to OBC (Non-creamy layer) category also at the time of interview if called for.
  7. Application Fee : A non-refundable fee of Rs.250/-(Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) will be payable by applicants [excluding women, Persons With Disabilities(PWD) and DODPKIA] belonging to General and OBC category. For payment of Application Fee, the applicant may download the bank challan format from the download menu in the website and make the payment in any branch of State Bank of India before applying on line. Before remitting the payment in bank, the applicant should ensure that his/her name and date of birth have been filled correctly in the challan format. After making the payment and getting the JOURNAL NUMBER AND BANK CODE, the applicant who is applying on line has to enter the bank details correctly in the on line application form. 

    The bank charges of Rs.20/-(Rupees twenty only) towards payment of Application Fee will have to be borne by the applicant.

    The application fee should be remitted on any day between 1st March 2012 and 18th March 2012.

    Admit Cards will not be generated if the application fee has not been received in NPCIL account on or before 18th March 2012 in respect of those Applicants who are required to pay application fee.
  8. Applicants must upload their scanned photograph in the JPG/JPEG/GIF format, of size not more than 50KB and a minimum of 125 x 165 pixels (4.4 x 5.8 in cm) in dimensions. The photo uploaded will be printed on the Admit Card and only the applicant whose photo is printed on the Admit Card will be allowed to take up the Online Test.

    Applicants must also upload their scanned signature in JPG/JPEG/GIF format of size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9 cm) in dimensions.

  9. At the time of interview, the applicants have to produce all original certificates for verification of date of birth, caste, disabilities, qualification, experience (if any) etc and certificate / authentic documents in original in support of any claim for relaxation of age, application fees along with attested copies of all such certificates / documents (Formats can be downloaded from Downloads menu from the website). No Applicant will be interviewed, if any of the required certificates / documents are not produced.
  10. Applicants working in Central / State Government / PSUs / Aided Institutions should bring "No Objection Certificate" from the organisation without which they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
  11. No Travel expenses will be paid to any Applicant for appearing for the Online Test.
  12. If Applicant is not interviewed due to not meeting the eligibility criteria or non production of the required documents including travel ticket etc. no travelling expenses for coming for interview will be reimbursed.
  13. Mere fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria will not entitle any Applicant to be called for test/interview/appointment.
  14. The email id entered in the online application form should remain active for at least one year. No change in the email id will be allowed once entered. All future correspondence would be sent via email.
  15. No request for change of Test Center, date and time allotted for Online Test will be entertained. Although applicants have been advised to indicate their preference of Test Center and Date for appearing in the Online Test, NPCIL reserves the right of allocation of Test Center, date and time of Online Test as it may deem fit about which the applicant will be informed through email and no further request for any change shall be entertained in this regard.
  16. In case of any ambiguity / dispute arising on account of interpretation in versions other than English, the English version shall prevail.
  17. NPCIL reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge / modify / alter the recruitment process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.
  18. In case of any dispute, legal jurisdiction will be Mumbai.
  19. At any stage of this recruitment process (ET-2012) including after recruitment or joining, if any of the following is detected, the said applicant will be liable to be disqualified, prosecuted and debarred for all appointments in NPCIL and his/her application / appointment will be rejected forthwith:
    The applicant :
    1. a)      Has provided wrong information or submitted false documents or
    2. b)      Suppressed relevant information or
    3. c)      Does not meet the eligibility criteria of this recruitment or
    4. d)      Has resorted to unfair means in the Online Test or
    5. e)      Appeared more than once in the Online Test for this recruitment (ET-2012) or
    6. f)       Found guilty of impersonation or
    7. g)      Created disturbance affecting the smooth conduct of the Online Test at the test centre.

How To Apply
Eligible applicants may apply through online registration system of NPCIL. No manual / paper application will be entertained.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING ONLINE :
  1. Please read the eligibility criteria and ensure that you meet all the criteria before applying.
  2. The entire online registration should be completed within 25 minutes (Session time is 25 minutes only). Hence please keep all your details ready before you start filling up your application online.
  3. The eligible applicants will be short listed through Online Test. The Online Test will be conducted from 16th April, 2012 to 22nd April, 2012 for all the disciplines stated at "Required Disciplines" menu and applicant is required to appear on any day between 16th April, 2012 and 22nd April, 2012 in the Cities stated at Table 2 of Selection Process menu. The applicant is required to givethe dates  - 16th April, 2012 to 22nd April, 2012 - as per his/her preference for appearing in the Online Test. Hence, the applicants are advised to decide accordingly before applying for the test.
  4. Online registration requires your personal details like name, category, gender, date of birth, qualifying degree, engineering discipline, email address, phone numbers, address for correspondence, application fee remittance details (Bank Branch name, Branch code, Journal Number and Date of Remittance) if you are an applicant not exempted from paying application fee, soft copy of your scanned photograph and signature (JPG/JPEG/GIF) etc. and preference of test centre and date
  5. Please enter a valid, active email address as all important communication will be sent to this email address. SMS will also be sent to you if you give an active mobile number for communication.
  6. After you fill in all the details, all the data filled in will be displayed on a page, Please verify at this stage if all the data that you have filled in are correct. Use the ‘Edit’ button to make any changes at this stage. Enter bank challan details(if applicable) before you submit. You will not be allowed to make any changes, after you submit. 
  7. You will be able to check the current status of your application by logging in through the "Applicant's Login" menu.
  8. Please make a note of the registration number, as you will need this to login to the website to check your application status. An email also will be sent to you with the registration number. You will be allotted a roll number for the Online Test after verification.
  9. Exact percentage of the marks should be mentioned in the qualification percentage of marks column and No rounding off of marks should be done. For e.g. 59.99% should NOT be rounded off to 60%.
  10. Applicants must upload the scanned copy of their recent passport size photograph (taken not earlier than six months) in the JPG/JPEG/GIF format, of size not more than 50 KB and a minimum of 125 x 165 pixels (4.4 x 5.8 in cm) in dimensions. Applicants are required to upload their recent photograph without fail. The photo uploaded will be printed on the Admit Card and only the applicant whose photo is printed on the Admit Card will be allowed to take up the Online Test.

    Applicants must also upload their scanned signature in JPG/JPEG/GIF format of size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9 cm) in dimensions.
  11. Applicants will be informed through email and SMS (if active mobile number provided) about the availability of the Admit Card online on the website. The time and venue of the Online Test will be available in the Admit Card. They can login through the 'Applicant Login' and print the same. The applicant must carry a clearly printed Admit Card to the online test centre, without which he/she will not be allowed to take up the Online Test. If the bank challan details have not been filled in correctly while applying online, admit card with roll no will not be generated. Please ensure that the name of applicant filled in Bank Challan Form and Online Application are same. 
  12. After the results of the Online Test are displayed in the website, the shortlisted applicants can login through the 'Applicant Login' menu to print out the data filled in form. The applicants appearing for the interview should carry with them the following at the time of personal interview :

    • One copy of the printout of the data filled in form.
    • One attested copy of each of the certificates in support of educational qualification (Both Degree Certificate and Marksheets), experience, caste etc.
    • Orginals of all the above.
    Neither Printout of the data filled in form nor copy of any certificate should be sent before the interview.
